One of the most popular sports figures in the world today, UFC featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, will make a guest appearance as on the ultra popular first-person shooter video game, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."
Fresh off his UFC 202 victory against Nate Diaz in August, the trash-talking Irishman has been keeping busy outside of the UFC Octagon. From being on the cover of high-end magazines, promoting his numerous sponsors, McGregor feels like he doesn't need to take any breaks, and now, his latest project is appearing as one of the antagonists on "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."
McGregor will play the role of Captain Bradley Fillion, a high-ranking official of the Settlement Defense Front, a hostile faction that is led by Rear Admiral Salen Kotch, who is played by "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington, that declares war on the United Nations Space Alliance.
According to ESPN, McGregor was a huge fan of the "Call of Duty" games, and that it came to point where he would spend more hours on the game than training for his fights. McGregor would be playing until morning, and would go to sleep when his girlfriend went to work. Now, being part of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" game, the Irish featherweight champion says that it's a great honor to be a part of a franchise as big as "Call of Duty."
A video posted on McGregor's website, The Mac Life, shows McGregor suited in a motion capture suit, and perfectly blending in the gritty first person shooter, displaying his undeniable charm and elite mixed martial arts skills.
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will be released on November 4, 2016 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Activision will also release a remastered version of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare," which will be available through the premium editions of "Infinite Warfare."
