The royal family has released special photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte together via the Kensington Palace's official Twitter account.
The post created buzz on social media shortly after it was posted. It also gathered tens of thousands of retweets and favorites from followers.
According to The Telegraph, the four photographs were taken by the Duchess, herself, who is an amateur but sharp photographer. The photoshoot was a quick session and was taken at their Norfolk home, Amner Hall. This is where the royal family stays when they are not in their official residence at Kensingston Palace.
Prince George is visibly happy in the photos. He was dressed in white and blue, while the royal princess was all white. The young prince was all smiles as he sat and cradled his younger sister in his arms. He was beaming with joy as he kissed the royal princess. He is ready for his new role, to be the royal princess' big brother.
It can be remembered that the royal family released similar photos last Augut 2013, when Prince George was about the same age. However, those photos were taken by the royal children's grandfather, Duchess Catherine father's Michael Middleton, CNN notes. The Middleton family seems to have photography skills in their bloodline.
Princess Charlotte's full name is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge, according to CNN. She was born on May 2 at St. Mary's Hospital in London. There was a warm welcome from the people when the royal princess was delivered and The Telegraph's royal source said that it encouraged the royal family to share the recent photos to the public.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very private when it comes to their family affairs, and the posting of the royal children's photo suggested that they were happy and contented with the space provided to them by the media.
CNN notes that the images of the royal children were released a day after the palace announced Princess Charlotte's christening, which is on July 5 in the church of St. Mary Magdalene, Sandringham. The royal baby's grandmother, late Princess Diana of Wales was baptized in the same church. The ceremony will be private but the public should not be dismayed as pictures will be released to the media afterwards, notes The Telegraph.
