Lily Allen is a mom again.
The 27-year-old singer and husband Sam Cooper welcomed their second daughter Tuesday, The Sun reported. The new parents have named their bundle of joy Marnie Rose.
"Marnie is a real cutie. Sam and Lily are ecstatic about adding another girl to the family," a source close to the couple told The Sun. "A little sister for Ethel is brilliant news to lift the January blues for the family."
Later, the new mom took to Twitter to express her happiness. "Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on. THANKYOU everybody x x x," she wrote.
Fans of the singing sensation welcomed the news and congratulated the proud mom. "Hooray and congratulations! Hope you have got your feet up. X," one of the well-wishers wrote.
The new mom revealed her health condition through another Tweet: "yeah right ! Can't uncross my eyes. Unique mixture of tiredness and strong painkillers."
Earlier this month, Allen revealed she was trying spicy food to start the labor early.
"3rd curry this week. ............ Nothing," she Tweeted on Jan. 3.
Allen and builder/decorator Cooper tied the knot in June 2011, while they were expecting their first child. The couple welcomed their first daughter Ethel in November 2011. Allen and Cooper confirmed expecting their second child in July 2012.
"It was a surprise but Lily and Sam are thrilled," a source told Mirror about the second pregnancy. "The pair of them have loved every minute of parenthood so far and wanted to expand their brood quickly. So it's great timing."
