The Duggar family is on the rocks after the news of Josh Duggar molesting minor girls surfaced and made headlines. Four of the victims are Josh's sisters.
Last Friday, two of the four were revealed by Fox News to be Jill and Jessa. According to the interview, Jill was 12 and Jessa was 9 or 10 when Josh inappropriately touched them.
The two admitted that they were not aware of the molestation until their parents confirmed it. That was after Josh confessed to his parents what he had done. They said, they have undergone counseling and believe that Josh was a changed man.
Many criticized the incident. However, both are still on their brother's defense. In the same interview, Jessa said, "I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist... I'm like, that is so overboard and a lie really," quoted Think Progress.
Jill was emotional after knowing that the issue became a cover of "In Touch Weekly". According to Gossip Cop, Jill cannot believe how things turned out. "How could someone do this? We're victims. How can someone do this to us? I see it as a re-victimization that's a thousand times worse. We've already dealt with this. We've already forgiven Josh," she said.
The Duggars remain intact despite the controversy. Although the family has been slammed for the scandal, they have shown the epitome of forgiveness. Jill said that Josh asked for forgiveness and they forgave him but have already set boundaries. They said trust and forgiveness are two different things; they forgave Josh but he has to earn their trust, which he already broke.
Jill added that they have already moved on. The day after the interview, Jill's son, Israel turned 2 months old and the proud mother turned to Instagram to share the milestone.
She posted a picture of baby Israel smiling and wearing a customized shirt, bearing the words "2 months" and captioned it "Happy 2 month birthday #IsraelDavidDillard! We are so blessed to be your parents! May you grow up to love Jesus and serve others! #2monthbirthday."
The post gathered over a thousand likes from Jill's followers and well-wishes for her son, Israel. Despite Jill's intention of moving on and celebrating the occasion, other followers still dragged the molestation scandal by commenting about it in Jill's post of her baby.
