Rosie O'Donnell Welcomes Fifth Child

Rosie O'Donnell is a mom for the fifth time. The comedian and partner Michelle Rounds adopted a baby girl born Jan. 5.

The comedian took to Twitter to announce the news.

"We r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota - #withloveandthanks - AMEN," the 50-year-old wrote, after sharing an adorable photo of her newborn.

The new addition weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces at birth. Messages from well-wishers and fans have been pouring into the new mom's Twitter account ever since she announced the news.

"Congrats this is just too beautiful , in one word bliss, god bless you and your new baby guys Dawww," one of the fans wrote.

Apart from the new arrival, O'Donnell has four children with ex-partner Kelli Carpenter - Vivienne (10), Blake (13), Chelsea (15) and Parker (17).

O'Donnell, who started dating Rounds in 2011, tied the knot in 2012. The comedian, who suffered a heart attack and her partner Rounds, who was diagnosed with desmoids tumors, had earlier revealed their decision to have a child.

"I will gladly stay home. I want to try to work hard at getting myself healthy, on Mich and I getting started and maybe finding a baby," O'Donnell told People magazine.

O'Donnell and her partner are also planning to wed again, after they fully recover.

"When we are both well enough, [we] will have the wedding of our dreams surrounded by those we cherish," Us Weekly quoted the former "View" co-host as writing on her blog. "[We are] thankful for the love and support so many have given us during these trying times."
