Sacramento Kings and DeMarcus Cousins are rumored to be parting ways this NBA season. Both are regulars in the NBA trade rumor mills and Chicago Bulls' Jimmy Butler is slowly joining the NBA trade talks. According to latest NBA trade buzz, Los Angeles Lakers is trying to upgrade their roster by acquiring Cousins and Butler before the deadline.
NBA enthusiasts know that one of the teams in the league who is desperate to upgrade their roster is Los Angeles Lakers. The team has faced a huge loss after Kobe Bryant takes his departure to retire for good.
Per Gil Alcaraz of Hoops Habit, among the basketball superstars that Lakers is considering to sign are DeMarcus Cousins and Jimmy Butler. Lakers are also considering Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor and Kenneth Faried but the three are not game changes like Boogie and Butler.
According to the reports, Chicago Bulls attempted to party ways with Jimmy Butler to trade for Kris Dunn. Unfortunately, it was not successful. However, this does not guarantee that Bulls will be keeping Butler for good.
In fact, Jimmy Butler has been linked to other teams this offseason. Aside from the potential trade with Lakers, there are rumors that Bulls is in a trade talk with Sacramento Kings for a trade involving Butler, Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins. Gay and Boogie will be heading to Chicago to play with Dwyane Wade while Butler joins Kings.
On a side note, if Lakers will be successful in signing Jimmy Butler, we will see Butler and DeMarcus Cousins playing for LA Lakers. According to reports, Lakers is sending Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson to Chicago for Jimmy Butler.
Meanwhile, some sources claim that DeMarcus Cousins is already joining LA Lakers. Parent Herald previously reported that Kings and Cousins snub the Cleveland Cavaliers trade involving Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson to have Boogie joined the young roster of Lakers instead.
