For those following the NBA trade rumors this offseason, Sacramento Kings, Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins remain regulars in the NBA trade rumor mills. However, the three parties might part ways soon as Kings are reportedly working on a deal with Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers.
Sacramento Kings is desperate to upgrade their roster for a better run this NBA season. Nuggets also want to improve their gameplay. Meanwhile, Lakers, a former contender wants to regain their spot in the finals and pursuing this is more challenging now after losing the Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant to retirement. So, the three teams are working on a deal to improve their lineup.
According to Inquisitr, the blockbuster trade between Kings, Nuggets and Lakers involves seven players. The seven players include DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay, Wilson Chandler, Julius Randle, Lou Williams, Jose Calderon and Nick Young.
Reports have it that Kings center DeMarcus Cousins and Nuggets small forward Wilson Chandler will join Los Angeles Lakers. Meanwhile, Lakers' power forward Julius Randle, shooting guard Lou Williams and Nick Young, and point guard Jose Calderon will still be a team but this time, all will play for Kings.
The report added that Los Angeles Lakers will also send their first round-draft pick next year to Sacramento Kings. As for the Nuggets, they will receive Kings' small forward Rudy Gay and Lakers' second-round draft choice.
Per the report, Los Angeles Lakers are desperate to sign a caliber player like DeMarcus Cousins that they are willing to send multiple players to seal the deal involving Cousins. Reports have it that Lakers want to bring Boogie and make him the new face of the franchise.
Indeed, this trade is a huge one with several key players from Lakers joining Sacramento Kings. However, one should still take this report with a grain of salt. Parent Herald previously reported that Lakers will not be trading D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle.
