Brad Pitt, after being accused of cheating on his wife Angelina Jolie, is now facing new accusation -- child abuse -- to which Pitt is held under investigation. Reports have assumed that this child abuse matter has pushed Jolie to end "Brangelina."
People reports last Thursday, Sept. 22, that Pitt is being investigated for child abuse after he allegedly got "physical" and "verbally abusive" with one of his kids on their private plane while other children were present. A source close to the family, spilled to DailyMail that the actor got into an argument with his 15-year- old son, Maddox, last Wednesday on the flight of their family going home from France. But the same source cleared out that Pitt didn't touch the teen at any time, the report continued.
A source close to Pitt contradicted these reports. In the USA Today the source said: "The claims are greatly exaggerated or fabricated. Despite being on the receiving end of an onslaught of allegations, he remains focused on doing whatever is best for the children." The USA Today also noted that the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services has neither confirmed nor denied the said investigation on Pitt.
"He loves being a father and that's one thing I'm most proud of about him. With a large family, you need that support," Jolie told the Mirror last March 2014. "Brad is a wonderful teacher and guide, for the boys in particular. He likes to plan things and proceed in a very deliberate and methodical way. He is much cooler and calmer ... I can be more impulsive and outspoken," she added.
Pitt said on the other hand: "I am [the disciplinarian] with the boys. Girls do no wrong, so I don't have to be," Pitt told the Telegraph last November 2015. "I feel like my job is to show 'em around, help them find what they want to do with their life, put as many things in front of them, and pull them back when they get out of line, so they know who they are."
Pitt was witnessed by millions of fans how he expressed his love to his children. "I care about them more than I care about myself. You see past yourself and become more generous and giving, and wanting only the best for your family," he told Psychologies Magazine last October 2014. "I worry about them all the time," he added.
Pitt on making parenting mistakes: "Not [like I'm] a horrible parent, but I've certainly made mistakes and had to make up for it," the actor said to People in May 2011.
