‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Rumors, Latest News Updates: Disney Wants Jack Sparrow Dead? Johnny Depp Ditches Properties For $7M Divorce Settlement

Disney has yet to officially promote its much-awaited film, "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales." But for the past several months, the movie has already earned both positive and negative publicities - from its cast down to the production of the film.

Before delving into the recent rumors that are plaguing "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales," the past speculations have something to do with the rumored conflict between veteran "Pirate" franchise actors, Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) and Johnny Depp (Capt. Jack Sparrow). As Parent Herald previously noted, the two actors have fought over who will be the movie's lead actor.

Recently, however, the reported tension in "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" was between Disney and Depp, whose personal life was affected after his controversial divorce with Amber Heard went public. In fact, latest claims suggested Disney wanted to kill off Depp's character after he delayed the production of the movie for four weeks, Yahoo! Movies reported.

Speaking of Depp's personal life crisis, the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" star is reportedly desperate to be the movie's main character after he lost his lavish properties due to his $7 million divorce settlement with estranged wife Amber Heard. According to E! News, Depp sold his French estate in July for $55 million but now, more properties were listed for sale.

Based on a Wall Street Journal report, Depp, who's reprising his Jack Sparrow role in "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales," has listed his collection of penthouses atop the Eastern Columbia Building. The said property has a price of $12.78 million.

In other "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales"-related report, Depp's costar and rumored rival Orlando Bloom was recently spotted with current flame Katy Perry at Disneyland Shanghai. As per another E! News report, the couple was there with Bloom's son, Flynn Christopher Bloom and they even enjoyed the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride.

Meanwhile, "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will follow the adventures of Capt. Jack Sparrow as he looks for the Trident of Poseidon to defeat old rival and the movie's latest villain, Capt. Salazar (Javier Bardem). IGN revealed Salazar escaped from the Devil's Triangle and was bound to kill every pirate at sea.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is scheduled to premiere on May 26, 2017. For more "Pirates" update, check out Parent Herald.
