NBA Trade Rumors: The Sixers Confirmed They Are Not Trading Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor; Sixers To Keep Their Bigmen

The Philadelphia 76ers General Manager Bryan Colangelo confirms that they are not shopping Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor. Colangelo also said that the Sixers are grateful to have NBA stars like the two.

In a report held by the philly.com, the Vertical Podcast was able to interview Bryan Colangelo and was asked about the rumored trade involving Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor. Colangelo said at first that the Sixers are not comfortable to have 3 centers, knowing that they are all potential stars.

Within the interview, Bryan Colangelo claimed that they are going to keep both Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor. He also added that the Sixers will go let it work out by itself and see who will stay healthy.

Colangelo also mentioned he received some offers, but it's not likely to be a neutral deal, since other teams are not providing the same value for either Noel or Okafor. This might be because of their age and experience.

It's obvious that Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor and Joel Embiid all came from a rehab due to injuries. This could be the main reason the Sixers are not getting the best offer they expect in return.

In a press release by the Basketball Insider, Nerlens Noel is likely to become a star, especially when we talk about defense. Noel already showcased his talent last season, averaging 8.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.7 blocks with a handful 10.5 points per game.

Nerlens Noel had already shown his talent and potential, among other 3 big men including the newly acquired Dario Saric. As the new NBA season approaches, Joel Embiid is entering his rookie season and is about to exhibit the talent he possesses and is expected contribute to the Sixers in no time.

Overall, the Philadelphia 76ers will be entering the upcoming NBA season with a massive height lineup. With the addition of the 6'10" first pick Ben Simmons, the Sixers will be a total defensive team.
