Tim Cook finally gave the fans of MacBook Pro 2016 hope that Apple will eventually release the upcoming laptop this October. As the company has already released its iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2, consumers are now eagerly anticipating of the company's next MacBook Pro.
It is highly due for Apple to have the next generation of MacBook Pro and to help its avid consumers on what they should wait for, here are some of the facts we know so far:
MacBook Pro 2016 will be thinner and lighter. Consumers may even be surprised by the sudden change of the upcoming laptop as it will sport a totally new look that will also have metal injection molded hinges. Some consumers are even questioning what changes the upcoming MacBook Air would have if the MacBook Pro 2016 would be thinner than MacBook Air.
MacBook Pro 2016 and Skylake processors. It has been highly cited by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that the upcoming MacBook Pro will still carry Skylake processors although Kaby Lake processors are also ready. According to Mac Rumors, the Skylake "H-series" chips are much better for the 15-inch MacBook pro that consumers are expecting on October as Skylake is still Intel's lead offerings.
However, Apple could still use Kaby Lake processors for the upcoming MacBook Pro but it will be available on 2017. Intel will offer Kaby Lake processors until the end of the year 2017 until the new Cannon Lake chips are introduced.
Other known features of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016. The upcoming laptop from Apple will have an OLED display touch bar, touch ID, Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C. Another known exciting feature that it will also have is with its Apple pencil and the possibility that there will be no headphone jack. As Apple have already erased the headphone jack on its iPhone 7, it would also be in the right direction if they do not offer the headphone jack for the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016.
Release date points to October. While Apple did not confirm nor deny that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 would be released this coming month but the month of October is the common month when Apple releases its revised MacBook Pro.
Whenever Apple launched significant changes to its MacBook Pro, it usually happens on October, Trusted Reviews reported. Starting from 2006, 2008, 2011 and Oct. 23, 2013, was the last time Apple released its MacBook Pro.
As Apple releases its iPhones during September, the month of October is the best chance we will see the latest MacBook Pro 2016.
