Popular American softball player Jennie Finch gave birth. The 32-year-old former Olympic softball star and her husband Casey Daigle welcomed their third child, a baby girl, Saturday early morning. The couple named their daughter Paisley Faye Daigle.
"We are so thrilled to announce the birth of our sweet baby girl!," she wrote on her Twitter account on Jan.12.
The new addition to the family weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounces at birth. Baby Paisley will be joining her big brothers 6-year-old Ace Shane and 18-month Diesel Dean.
The new mom later posted an adorable photo of the newest addition.
"Our sweet angel baby, Paisley Faye! She was born last night right after midnight!" she wrote, and thanked her fans and well-wishers. "Thank y'all for all the sweet words & love welcoming our baby girl! We Are Incredibly Touched! Our hearts are overflowing... Thank you! Xo."
Well-wishers and fans competed to congratulate the new mom over the new addition to her family.
"Gorgeous babygirl!!! And thank God all is well! Congratulations @jfinch27 to you and all your family!!! I bet the boys are excited about their baby sister!" one of the followers wrote.
The sports star-turned-model helped Team USA grab a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Finch married baseball pitcher Daigle in 2005.
In October, the mom-to-be had revealed her struggle to find a suitable name for her third child.
"Everyone is expecting something crazy and outrageous with having Ace and Diesel, but we're not sure," she told People magazine "[One option's] a really sweet Southern name that we might end up with. That's kind of in the lead right now, but we haven't decided completely yet."
