What High School Musical Star Ashley Tisdale Really Eats In A Week

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has always been skinny: She can eat whatever and whenever she wanted but that changed when she got hurt her back while shooting a movie. From then on, she realized she must guard her diet and toughen her core.

Now Tisdale follows a rigorous healthy diet. On the weekdays, she eats foods heavy in protein and vegetables and during weekends she eats whatever she wants -- even unhealthy foods. Food 4 Better Health reported that Tisdale has cheat days because the actress uses it to help motivate herself to eat healthier during the week.

"That's when I'm being good," she told Delish. "Let's just be real. That's when I'm being strict on my diet, and then I come to New York City and eat tons of carbs," she continued.

These are what Tisdale eats from Monday to Friday: For breakfast, vegetables and scrambled eggs; For lunch, salad; For dinner, vegetables and protein. And from Saturday to Sunday, she loves to devour Mexican and Japanese foods. Though she loves to eat unhealthier foods, she does consume healthy foods on most occasions.

"I just love carbs," she said to ENews. "And when I'm on vacation I definitely allow myself carbs, so it's always funny when people are like, 'Oh my gosh, you look great in your bikini.' I'm like, 'If you only knew what I had for breakfast!'"

Delish reported that Tisdale is obsessed with two restaurants in Los Angeles: the Shabu Shabu, a Japanese restaurant and Casa Vega, a Mexican restaurant. "Everything there is so, so good," the actress commented.

The only food that Tisdale don't dare take is dairy. During an interview with BuzzFeed, Tisdale admitted that she is sensitive to dairy, and she just recently discovered. "I just found out I'm allergic to dairy," Tisdale said.

The toughest part of Tisdale's healthier transformation is giving up pizza. But, she said to Delish that there are so many good vegan pizzas out there, though, and so it has not been too bad.
