The hit television crime drama "Power" is now renewed for two new seasons. The series produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Courtney Kemp was well received throughout its three year run, and now looks forward to season four and five.
"Power" follows James St. Patrick, widely known by his nickname "Ghost," is the owner of the popular nightclub named "Truth," while secretly running the city's biggest underground drug ring. Ghost has a wife named Tasha, while maintaining a relationship with AUSA agent, Angela Valdez. Ghost wishes to let go of his life as a drug boss and work on his legitimate nightclub business.
The third season of "Power" still focuses on the "Ghost-must-die" theme, with the finale showcasing betrayal, discovery, a pair of handcuffs placed on Ghost by his ex, agent Valdez, and culminated with the death of Agent Greg and drug mogul, Milan. "Power" executive producer, Courtney Kemp who spoke with TV Line, says the third season lays the groundwork for season 4, and that the events of the finale will dictate the events coming in the new chapter.
"Power" has received critical success, and has recently moved to Sunday night primetime on Starz. The show's popularity was rewarded with the two new seasons. Co-producer Curtis Jackson says that from the beginning of the series' conception, they knew they were already on to something special. With the overwhelming response from the fans, Curtis and the rest of the team cannot wait to give the series' followers more action and drama wit the two new seasons.
Season 4 and 5 will feature 10 episodes, as Omari Hardwick will be back to resume his role as Ghost, when season 4 of "Power" premieres in the summer of 2017 on Starz, according to the International Business Times. Power currently holds an 8.1 out of 10 rating on IMDb.
