'Will & Grace' Reunion Won't Be The Last? Debra Messing, Eric McCormack Dish On Potential For More Episodes

Monday's debut of a special "Will & Grace" episode had TV fans so excited and nostalgic. Though the presentation was short, many felt that the show hasn't been gone on air for the last 10 years. Because of the successful reunion, some are hoping for more "Will & Grace" episodes. Will the cast consider this? Stars Debra Messing and Eric McCormack share their thoughts about reviving the show.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Eric McCormack said that they have not officially talked about bringing "Will & Grace" back for full episodes and there are still no discussions among them at this point. Creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan only focused on having the 10-minute special episode this time, which you can watch below.

Eric McCormack is concerned about messing up the legacy of the series, which is why reunion talks could get long-winded. "We're very proud of the series finale and the story that told of the break that friendships sometimes take," the "Will & Grace" actor said.

Doing the 10-minute special election episode of "Will & Grace" was discussed and done in a matter of two days. After that, they all returned to what they were doing. "I got back on a plane and went to New York and we didn't have time to really talk about it," Debra Messing said of potential future episodes.

However, both stars are open to the idea of a revival, if it actually starts rolling. "I never say never anymore. Everything has changed so much in the TV industry; there have been reboots," Debra Messing reasoned. But for the record, no network nor streaming service has expressed interest in putting the show back together.

"Will & Grace" ran for eight seasons on NBC, from 1998 to 2006. The show also stars Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes. During its run, "Will & Grace" received 16 Emmy awards, including repeat acting citations for all of its four stars.

"Will & Grace" made an impact on American culture, particularly in letting the public understand LGBT issues. The Washington Post cites "Will & Grace" as one of the best NBC comedies of all time.
