'A Series Of Unfortunate Events' Air Date, Cast News: Early 2017 Release Plotted; Meet 4 Child Actors Of ASOUE

Netflix is reportedly planning to release the first season of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" (ASOUE) in early 2017. One of the child stars of the show has indicated this on his social media account.

The children's series follows the circumstances of the Baudelaire kids after the death of their parents. As they move from house to house to escape Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris), the nasty distant relative who wants their inheritance, they encounter myriad of interesting characters.

Who are the child actors behind the characters? Let's meet the children of ASOUE!

Violet Baudelaire on "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is played by New York actress Malina Weissman. She was the younger version of Supergirl when the show aired on CBS last year. Malina was also in the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" playing the role of young April O' Neil, which was her first movie break. The actress previously did commercials and modeling stints. La Petite Magazine cites her as one to watch.

Malina as Violet Baudelaire on "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is characterized as an inventor in the series. Deadline describes Violet as "self-confident, capable and smart beyond her years."

Klaus Baudelaire on "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is played by Louis Hynes. Relatively a newcomer in Hollywood, the young actor is from Oxford. His character in the series is described as a bookworm with a sharp memory and he's capable of speaking different languages.

The third Baudelaire child, Sunny, is believed to be a CGI prop in Netflix's adaptation of "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Sunny is in her toddler years in the book and hasn't learned to speak in sentences yet.

The Baudelaire kids will meet the Quagmire siblings, Isabella and Duncan, in the fifth book "The Austere Academy." However, it looks like they will already be introduced in "A Series of Unfortunate Events" Season 1, which is supposed to cover the first four books only.

The characters are played by Avi Lake (Isabella) and Dylan Kingwell (Duncan). Both child actors have had acting experience for television before "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Avi was in "Gotham," "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D.," while Dylan has been in "The Returned" and "Supernatural."

As Isabella and Duncan Quagmire on "A Series of Unfortunate Events," the siblings have a similar experience with the Baudelaire kids. They also lost their parents in a fire. They have another sibling, Quigley, who is believed to have died with their parents. Isabella, Duncan and Quigley are triplets.

Meanwhile, it was Dylan Kingwell who confirmed on his Twitter that "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is coming in early 2017. Netflix has not yet officially revealed the air date of the first season, but it is believed that pre-production for Season 2 has already started, as Parent Herald reported.
