Adam Carolla Podcasts & Books: Comedian Talks Kids & His 'Self-Taught' Parenting Style in New Book 'Daddy Stop Talking! & Other Things My Kids Want But Won’t Be Getting'

Adam Carolla a well-known comedian, radio host, podcaster and writer has released a new book, "Daddy Stop Talking! & Other Things My Kids Want But Won't Be Getting," which contains his rifts and rants about his kids.

Carolla is very good with his craft; he has authored several best-selling books and even received recognition from Guiness Book of World Records for the Most Downloaded Podcast, Here & Now reports.

Carolla is known for being outspoken and straightforward. He is fierce, he does the things he thinks is right and speaks about matters according to his perception.

When he decided to fire his then-sidekick Alison Rosen, many were surprised including Rosen. The two worked together for four years and he fired her because he didn't think Rosen was a good sidekick, Yahoo Parenting reports.

Whether you see Carolla as a bad man or otherwise, he is definitely another type of man when it comes to parenting his twins, Sonny and Natalia, 9.

Carolla is very affectionate and expressive when it comes to his children. He told Here & Now that when he sees his kids, he grabs them, hugs them and wrestles with them. The writer would even tell his children how happy he is for their presence.

Carolla grew from a poor family and his parents were not emotional, so the podcaster never got the type of sweetness, assurance and attention that only passionate parents provide. He grew up thinking that it was not the type of parenting he wanted to provide to his kids, and so he showered his children the kind of attention he never got from his parents.

Growing up from a deprived family has formed Carolla's perception of not having kids. When he was 22, he told himself, "Hell no I'm not having kids. I'm not having kids."

However, this thinking has changed over time, when he was in his 30s, he has new realizations saying, "I'm not having kids until I'm totally financially prepared for it, until I've done some therapy, until I've got my head together. I'm not going to screw up another generation of Carollas here."

Carolla got his twins when he was already 42 and he never failed them because he is a good provider. His recent book covers a few of the things he wanted his kids to learn head on.

One of the advises he wanted for his son Sonny was to practice a proper handshake. According to Carolla a real man should have a real handshake that includes a nice grip and not a limp handshake. Sonny should practice the right one, otherwise many would think he was bullied when he was a child.

Carolla warns Natalia about breastfeeding. He agreed that breastfeeding is as natural and important as urinating, but one should find a nice corner and not just sit anywhere in full view.

There is still more in Carolla's book, but not everyone might find it friendly. According to Salon, this book will not be a perfect gift for baby showers and one may not find this alongside celebratory parenting manuals. In fact, the same report stated, "if every young person in America reads this book, birth rates are likely to plummet."
