Killer Clowns’ Teen Social Media Imitators Facing Charges, One Teen Suspect Is A 13-Year-Old Girl

In Gloucester County, Washington, two or more teens are facing charges for allegedly posting social media threats that are linked to the currently controversial killer clowns scare in the social media. Further charges are to be determined for the two juveniles in Deptford Township, according to the Police officers on Monday night.

One of the teenagers arrested is a 13-year-old girl from Bunker Hill Middle School in Washington Township. She made threats that started out "broadly based," said Washington Township Police Department Capt. Dennis Sims. The teenage girl reportedly included specific names and addresses in the social media post, according to police. She is charged with cyber harassment, which is a fourth-degree crime. The young girl and the other teen are facing charges on false public alarm based on the two different social media accounts that were created and on the posted threats, saying that clowns are coming to harm students and teachers specifically at Deptford schools.

The craze for killer clowns started some time late August when kids were spotted in the woods with clowns trying to lure them. The killer clowns reportedly tempted kids with money to drive them to the woods, and since police officers failed to find them and answer reports about them, parents in the neighborhoods put the law on their own hands and shot those clowns in the woods.

Just a few days ago, New Jersey middle and high schools went into a frenzy when an social media account user named "Aint Clownin Around" posted a warning: "We will be at all High schools this friday to either kidnap students or kill teachers going to their cars." The threat did not specify a school so it was a huge warning to all. After a day, it turned out to be a total prank but still many are keeping an eye to possibilities, as reported by the Daily Journal.

Killer clown sightings included North Carolina, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Florida and Kentucky.
