"The American" Season 5 is set to premiere in the Spring 2017 according to Premiere Date. The producers have also revealed that the season will have a total of 13 episodes once it takes off.
As for a sixth season, Weisberg and Fields have also revealed that they will be focusing on a sixth season soon after their work in "The Americans" Season 5. They also reported that they are planning to make the sixth season have a total of 10 episodes.
"The Americans" Season 6 is scheduled to air in 2018. Possibly "The Americans" Season 6 will be the final season of the show.
