Google Pixel phones are now out, but it is only available for pre-order, after it has been launched at an event recently and many are saying it is the dream android phone. Others, however, are disappointed that it is not water resistant.
Google Pixel reportedly is the best, most powerful, and most unified Android phone. It also has the best specs and design among all the Android phones that it levels with. It comes in two versions, the 5-inch Pixel and the 5.5-inch Pixel XL. The starting price for the 5-inch Pixel is $649 but if you opt to buy the XL version, it would start at $769.
For the Pixel, it features a 1080p screen while Pixel XL has a 1140 x 2160. Both have Snapdragon 821 processors, fingerprint sensors on the back of the phone, 4GB of Ram, and the storage would either be 32GB or 128GB. The cameras is 12 megapixel and as per reviews from Wired, it captures better quality photos as opposed to Apple's iPhone. It also comes with a headphone jack, which has been a setback for the Apple iPhone 7.
There are three colors that buyers of Google Pixel could choose from as the phone comes in Really Blue, Quire Black, and Very Silver. The phone is quite heavy due to its big battery. It also runs on Android Nougat 7.1, which existed only after the Google Pixel flagship was released. It also has Google Assistant, which is likened to Apple's Siri. Google Assistant could work by saying "Ok Google" or by hitting the home button.
The Verge reported that the only downside regarding the Google Pixel phones is that it is not water-resistant. It is unclear why Google designed Google Pixel that way but many are saying that with the price that comes with the phones, it should have been water resistant.
Google Pixel and Pixel XL are now available for pre-order and will be shipped later this month. Would you buy a Google Pixel or Pixel XL? Let us know your thoughts!
