Baby of Former Arizona TV Reporters: Positive of Cocaine

Former Arizona TV reporters, 42-year-old Somchai Lisaius and 26-year-old wife Krystin Rae Lisaius, were nabbed by authorities for alleged illegal possession of drugs after their 4-month-old baby was found positive of cocaine. Two years of imprisonment or probation could have been sentenced to the parents; however, charges of drug possession and child abuse were relinquished under a plea agreement, the Parent Herald has confirmed.

Cocaine was found in the body system of the 4-month-old baby after the baby had undergone some test, Arizona hospital staff and child welfare officials revealed. Authorities then blamed the parents, Somchai Lisaius and wife Krystin Rae Lisaius, who are both former Arizona reporters.

TucsonWeekly reported that the 4-month-old baby was rushed by parents, Somchai and Krystin Lisaius, to Oro Valley Hospital after noticing that their baby wouldn't wake up, became floppy, "wabbly" and eyes rolling. The report added that according to a report released by Oro Valley Police Department, the mother described the baby as "ragdoll-like." Later on, with the permission of the parents, the baby was moved to Banner University Medical Center for more tests.

The couple wouldn't permit the two hospitals to test the blood of the baby, according to DailyNews. However toxicology and urinalysis screens conducted by hospital staff together with child welfare officials revealed the baby had cocaine in her body system, according to MailOnline.

Krystin denied the use of cocaine though, telling that she did not know how their baby got the cocaine, MailOnline reported. But later on, she confessed that she, together with her husband and a friend, had snuffed cocaine the night before she breastfed her child.

Tucson.com dislosed that according to police report, Som and Krystin Lisaius both confessed to police investigators to sniffing cocaine at a gathering in their house. The report added that the police reclaimed 1.8 grams of cocaine when they searched through the house. One year probation was sentenced to them according to DailyNews.
