‘Wentworth’ Season 5 Air Date News & Update: Foxtel Star Danielle Cormack Defends Bea Smith Type Women?

"Wentworth" Season 5 may have lost Danielle Cormack and Bea Smith in one go at S4 finale "Seeing Red," but the Foxtel star continues to make an impact. In her latest crusade, which may be said to be a defense of women similar to "Wentworth" fan favorite Bea Smith, Danielle Cormack joined fellow celebrities and Cosmopolitan in campaigning against domestic violence.

Fans of the Foxtel series became acquainted with Bea Smith as a battered wife in "Wentworth Season 1." Bea Smith attempted to escape abuse from her husband only to end in Wentworth prison for women instead.

Perhaps the appeal that Bea Smith had among "Wentworth" fans is to be viewed as a victim, who made wrong choices but eventually found her strength. Danielle Cormack took Bea Smith on a journey that allowed the "Wentworth" star to truly evolve despite difficulties.

However, not everyone in the same place as Bea Smith is able to find the strength that Danielle Cormack helped her "Wentworth" character discover. Many women, domestically abused like Bea Smith, remain voiceless and defenseless.

Once more Danielle Cormack comes to the rescue of those similar to her Bea Smith in the "Wentworth" series. The Daily Mail reports that "Wentworth" star Danielle Cormack participated in a photo shoot for the Cosmopolitan campaign against domestic violence.

Danielle Cormack and the celebrities in the Cosmopolitan campaign hope to expand awareness among men and women that domestic violence abuse is not always physical but may also be verbal and sexual. Daniel Cormack and the "Wentworth" star's fellow celebrities were featured in photos wearing bruises, wounds and scars made of words.

Danielle Cormack appears a shoe-in for this campaign considering the influence she generated as Bea Smith in the "Wentworth" series. According to Danielle Cormack, "Wentworth" fans have approached her to thank her making Bea Smith an inspiration for them.

Parent Herald cites reports that Foxtel is keeping under wraps all indications of the Bea Smith replacement for "Wentworth Season 5." Despite fan outrage, Foxtel is optimistic the Bea Smith replacement will be welcomed by Danielle Cormack fans come "Wentworth Season 5" anticipated to air in May 2017.
