‘Westworld’ Episode 2 Photos & Spoilers: Robot Anomaly Is Contagious? Early Glimpse On New Guests & Orientation Host

New photos from the second episode of "Westworld" were released by HBO. The pictures showcased new theme park guests, an orientation host, and some of the cast that viewers have already met in the much talked about season premiere.

The new "Westworld" photos from episode two titled "Chestnut" featured Logan (Ben Barnes) and William (Jimmi Simpson), who both have significant roles in the sci-fi thriller moving forward, Entertainment Weekly reported. Other snapshots offered a glimpse on Angela (Talulah Riley), an orientation host who will welcome Logan and William to the theme park filled with hosts or highly realistic robots.

The other photos featured regulars such as Dr. Ford (Anthony Hopkins), Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright), and Sweetwater brothel prostitute Maeve (Thandie Newton). Maeve will have a key role in episode two of "Westworld," according to a synopsis reported by ComingSoon.net. Check out the newly released photos below.

Logan (a repeat visitor) and first-timer William will have different agendas and expectations when they arrive at the Westworld theme park. Meanwhile, behavior engineer Elsie Hughes (Shannon Woodward) will make adjustments in Maeve's emotions so as to prevent a recall.

The promo for next week's episode featured Maeve going rogue while Westworld's behind-the-scenes team is working on her. Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) was also shown rebelling and gaining consciousness, which was hinted at in the end of the premiere episode. The park's oldest host was seen nonchalantly swatting a fly dead after telling her makers that she wouldn't ever hurt a living thing.

The recent anomaly of several of the hosts will raise worries from the team behind the theme park. Bernard and Quality Assurance head Theresa Cullen (Sidse Babett Knudsen) will debate whether the host anomaly is contagious, which is plausible given how the robots are computer-generated and the anomaly could be spreading like how a computer virus would.

"Westworld" episode two will also feature programmer Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) pitching his latest narrative to his co-workers, though Dr. Ford will not exactly welcome it. The Man in Black (Ed Harris) recruits a doomed man, Lawrence (Clifton Collins, Jr.), in his quest to unearth Westworld's deepest and darkest secrets. The Man in Black has already started with this mission in episode one, which featured him scalping a host to reveal a maze design underneath its skull.

The second episode of "Westworld" will air this Sunday, Oct. 9 on HBO. Watch the sneak peek below.
