Ubisoft has just announced that the upcoming "For Honor" will remove one of its main features, the Split-Screen. Ubisoft decided to pull off the split-screen feature, though it was a announced a few months ago that it will be required.
According to Gamespot, Ubisoft decided to remove the split-screen feature of "For Honor" this week. "For Honor" game producer Stephane Cardin mentioned in an interview held by IGN that it was a very tough decision that they made, removing one of the main features that they already planned to add in "For Honor" since day 1 of development.
The split-screen support in "For Honor" will no longer be available in both solo and co-op missions, local multiplayer is also included. Split-screen is a feature that most players are waiting for since it was no longer a tradition for most of the latest games released as per Polygon reported.
Stephane Cardin said that they really need to remove the split-screen support in "For Honor" to maintain its stability especially in online play. It is a very critical decision, since most players want the feature back, but they need to consider how the "For Honor" game performs. Cardin added that they want "For Honor" to present the most amazing game experience.
Featuring historic medieval knights, "For Honor" is a third person hack-and-slash game. "For Honor" offers a unique style of massive battle, incorporating some of the elements from other Ubisoft games. Evading, dodging, blocking and parrying to name a few, are all in the "For Honor." Split-screen would become a hindrance when it comes to syncing, lag and frame rate drops during online play.
"For Honor" is set to launch next year, month of February on the 14th day. "For Honor"will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
