Chris Pratt made headlines once again as pictures of the "Jurassic World" star hanging out with kids in a children's hospital made rounds in the Internet and subsequently melted the hearts of the fans and followers of the actor, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The news of Pratt's visit came to light after the handler of the Facebook page of Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital posted pictures of the actor in their official account. "Actor Chris Pratt, best known for Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, took time out from filming his latest movie to visit with our #AmazingKids at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital," the hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana wrote. It added, "Our patients were all smiles and we are so thankful to Chris for lifting their spirits by visiting and handing out Jurassic World goodies. Thanks to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals for coordinating such a special visit!"
Buzzfeed reports that the visit of Pratt in the said hospital was made possible in collaboration with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This is a group that aims to raise money as well as awareness in an effort to put across the urgency of the plights of the children across the United States and Canada. Apart from painting a smile on the faces of those who learn about Pratt's efforts, the public is also urged to donate to a CMN hospital near their residence.
During his visit, Pratt engaged in various activities with the kids and the hospital staff which included telling them stories, signing autographs, chatting up some of the patients in their beds, and re-enacting his famous scene with the raptors, according to Time. The highlights of his visit are featured in the album uploaded by the hospital and Reddit user "chrysias."
According to People Magazine, Pratt was in Louisiana with the cast of the upcoming film, "The Magnificent Seven," which would also star Denzel Washington, Haley Bennett and Ethan Hawke. Vincent D'Onofrio, Peter Sarsgaard, Byung-hun Lee and Matt Bomer will be featured in the flick as well. Antoine Fuqua was earlier reported to be chosen to helm the reboot, according to Variety. "The Magnificent Seven" is based on the screenplay by Akira Kurosawa, Hideo Oguni and Shinobu Hashimoto.
