We are only a few weeks away from the premiere of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. However, as we near the said date, it seems that the "TVD" production is preparing us for disappointment by not announcing whether Nina Dobrev is returning or not. Meanwhile, Paul Wesley is already moving on from the series with "Shadowhunters" Season 2.
"TVD" fans are expecting Nina Dobrev to return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 for an explosive finale. Many are rooting for a Delena reunion, while some others are hoping for a Stelena reconciliation. However, chances are dim to witness any of these romances as Dobrev is reportedly not returning for the last season of "The Vampire Diaries."
In fact, CelebDirtyLaundry reported earlier that Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin's relationship is on the rocks because the former is very occupied in filming "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. The remaining "TVD" stars are pressured to give fans a great finale minus Nina Dobrev. Hence, Wesley's time for Tonkin is being sacrificed.
After everyone's efforts, things for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 are already set. Parent Herald previously reported that the "TVD" bosses have already finalized the last season and there are no confirmation about Nina Dobrev's return but there are rumors that the "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart is making a cameo.
Ian Somerhalder has also moved on from the Delena and Stelena romance by suggesting that the Salvatore brothers do not deserve Elena. Damon and Stefan has only made her life miserable, so Somerhalder prefers to leave Nina Dobrev's character alone without any memories of the Salvatore brothers, in case, she wakes up.
Meanwhile, Paul Wesley is also moving on from "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 by joining "Shadowhunters" Season 2. According to Deadline, Wesley is directing one episode of the upcoming TV series.
Does this mean that everything in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is already set now that everyone is already moving on? How do you feel about a "TVD" finale without Delena or Stelena? Do you feel bad about Nina Dobrev not returning in 'TVD?" Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
