The EA Vault has expanded once again with Electronic Arts' free games incentive program for EA Access receiving a host of brand new arcade video games from PopCap Games. A later update has also been announced that will bring blockbuster hits like "Mirror's Edge Catalyst," "EA Sports UFC 2," "Star Wars Battlefront" to EA Access later this year.
The official Electronic Arts website announced, as shared by Polygon, that EA Access subscribers are getting a total of six new arcade titles from PopCap Games. The announcement said that the PopCap Games are already available for the EA Access Vault for the Xbox One, with "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" and other games following sometime later.
Dubbed the "Throwback Pack," the list of PopCap Games added to the EA Access' Xbox One Vault are comprised of a number of older games that many will likely develop some nostalgia for. Players can relive this millennium's early days of gaming with PopCap Games' "Heavy Weapon," "Bejeweled 2," "Bejeweled 3," "Feeding Frenzy," "Feeding Frenzy 2," and "Zuma" which they can all play while waiting for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" to arrive.
After PopCap Games' arcade titles, EA Access will later get the first-person parkour platformer action game "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" which only came out last June. Other AAA titles coming later to EA Access alongside "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" are "EA Sports UFC 2," which came out in March of this year, and 2015's "Star Wars Battlefront."
"EA Sports UFC 2" stars former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey and UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor on the cover; which is ironic since both champions suffered serious losses just months before, in Rousey's case, and right around the time the game came out, for McGregor. "Star Wars Battlefront" is the reboot of the "Battlefront" series that began back in 2001, and both games will arrive later with "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" to the EA Access Vault.
