It is public knowledge that Prince Charles is quite hands-on at his Highgrove estate and as an environmentalist, it looks like he's cultivating Prince George's green thumb as well.
The adorable little prince has reportedly been spending the early summers getting down and dirty with his grandfather. According to Hello Magazine, the tot, who is nearly two-years-old, has been tagging along with his 66-year-old grandpa at the Highgrove to plant trees and toil in the garden. They were reportedly seen planting a Winter Orange Lime tree by the front door of the house, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry.
The estate was bought by Prince Charles. Part of the site is open to visitors and the Highgrove does receive 30,000 guests yearly, says Hello.
Back in the 80s, Princes William and Harry spent countless childhood summers in the gardens especially with a tree house built in 1988. The staffers at the site said that Prince George has been to the property "many times," according to US Magazine. The tree house is, in fact, in the process of renovation so that Prince Charles' grand children can play there too, the source also revealed.
"Charles is a very proud grandfather," revealed a staffer. The future king of England himself said that he's quite thrilled to be a grandfather for the second time around with the birth of Princess Charlotte last May, according to E Online.
Meanwhile, the love for the outdoors is evident in the whole family, as seen in recent weeks. George had been caught by the cameras playing with his mother, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, at the grounds of the Beaufort Polo Club in Tetbury, England, while the men were at a polo match. It seemed like he's so used to rolling on the grass and getting his knees and hands dirty, as he happily explored his surroundings.
The moment, which transfixed and delighted royal watchers, even lead to the unexpected rise in the demand for Crocs kids shoes, according to Forbes Magazine. As the little prince prattled on the grass, enjoying his time outdoors, he was wearing a pair of comfortable blue Crocs sandals.
The next family outing should be one to watch again, as the family is set to celebrate Princess Charlotte's christening. The royal baby will be baptized at the Sandringham on July 5. It's the same church where Princess Diana, their grandmother, was christened in 1961, Hello Magazine reported.
