"Stranger Things" Season 2, from creators Matt and Ross Duffer, will take the Netflix original back to the Upside Down and David Harbour (Hawkins Police Chief Jim Hopper) confirmed S2 is insane. While "Stranger Things" Season 2 is gearing up for darker exploration, Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) did some exploring herself and wonders what if fan favorite Barb (Shannon Purser) and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) were dating.
The Daily Mail cites the New York Comic Con tease from David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown on what "Stranger Things" Season 2 will bring. Aside from being more sinister than S1, David Harbour revealed that first scripts of "Stranger Things" Season 2 will be on this side of crazy.
David Harbour also revealed that Matt and Ross Duffer heeded fan concern over Barb and reserved a satisfying resolution in "Stranger Things" Season 2. Nancy Wheeler(Natalia Dyer), friend to Barb, will still cause tension between Jonathan Byers and Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) in "Stranger Things" Season 2.
Interestingly, Millie Bobby Brown joined David Harbour in this and asked what many a "Stranger Things" fan wondered. What if Barb returned from the Upside Down (due to Netflix fan insistence) and dated Jonathan Byers in "Stranger Things" Season 2.
In the past Matt and Ross Duffer said that Barb is not returning in "Stranger Things" Season 2. However, who's to say that Barb will not return in a flashback or as shapeshifter in the Upside Down later on in "Stranger Things."
As with Barb, fans of the Netflix series are waiting for word on Millie Bobby Brown reprising Eleven in "Stranger Things" Season 2. However, hesitation from Matt and Ross Duffer on bringing Eleven back makes sense as the Netflix series creators are careful to make "Stranger Things" Season 2 distinctive from S1.
The Mirror reports that Netflix is anticipated to air "Stranger Things" Season 2 in July 2017. Do you think Barb and Jonathan Byers would have been a great pair up for "Stranger Things" Season 2?
