Target's Two-Piece Pajama Set Recalled

Nearly 56,000 units of children's two-piece pajama sets imported by Target have been recalled in the United States by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) after the product failed to meet the federal flammability standards required for children's sleepwear.

According to the authorities, the cotton/fleece pajamas manufactured by Makalot Garments in Taiwan, violate government flammability standards required for children's sleepwear. They urged consumers to immediately stop using the sleep wear to avoid risks of burn-related injuries and approach the company for receiving a full refund.

The pajamas were available in retail and online stores of Target at a cost of $ 8 and $ 13.

They were available in different sizes (12 M 2T, 3T, 4T, 5T) colors and designs like stars, skulls, cats, camouflage, footballs, dots and peace signs.

It is pretty easy to recognize the recalled sleepwear as words "Circo" or "Exhilaration" and "Wear snug-fitting not flame resistant" can be found in the pajama's tag. Apart from that, the pajamas also contain a tag with, "For child's safety, garment should fit snugly. This garment is not flame resistant. Loose-fitting garment is more likely to catch fire," written on that.

The entire list, containing the model numbers involved in the recall can be accessed on Target's official website.

Consumers can contact the company directly by dialing (800) 440-0680, weekdays, between 7.a.m. and 6 p.m.
