'The Mentalist' Star Amanda Righetti Welcomes Baby Boy

"The Mentalist" actress Amanda Righetti gave birth to a baby boy.

The 29-year-old and her filmmaker husband Jordan Alan confirmed the birth of their first child, last week to People magazine. The new parents named their son Knox Addison.

Righetti later shared her happiness with fans and well-wishers on Twitter.

"Thank you for all the love and well wishes on our arrival of Knox Addison. We are truly blessed, and happy to be home!" she wrote.

Righetti was born in Utah and raised in Nevada. She tied the knot with film director and writer Alan in 2006. The couple announced pregnancy in August. However, they had kept gender of the baby a surprise.

"She is very excited and feeling great," a friend confirmed the news to People magazine. "They are going to keep the gender of the baby a surprise!"

The mom-to-be, while impatiently waiting for the baby's arrival, thanked her well-wishers for their love and support.

"Thank you all for the congratulatory well wishes. @jordanalan00 and I are very excited and looking forward to this new chapter in our lives," Righetti told her fans on Twitter.

Righetti began working as a film producer and is well known for her role as Grace Van Pelt on CBS' "The Mentalist," along with other roles in "Friday the 13th" and "The O.C."
