Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz is reportedly going to hold off doing movies for a while. Instead, the "Bad Teacher" star has plans of taking a more challenging but fulfilling role as a wife to her new husband Benji Madden. The couple are said to be planning on having a baby.
"All she wants is to stay home and enjoy this special time in her life," the source revealed to US Magazine. "She has told her team she won't answer the phone for any amount of money - even though she has received offers for various things. She is adamant that she is not available for anything," the source added.
The actress and her Good Charlotte rock star husband plan to have the baby within five months and they are already physically preparing themselves for this by living healthy. "She loves watching TV and movies at home with Benji, and she's working on new recipes for a follow-up to The Body Book," the source reveals and adds, "Her priorities have 100 percent shifted. She wanted to settle down and she has."
Cameron, 42, and Benji, 36, also meditate regularly in their $10 million Beverly Hills mansion. But the two may soon move away from the city and settle in a quiet neighborhood in a California suburb, the Business Standard reports. Ideally, they are looking to invest in a property in Napa Valley, Ojai or Big Sur, which they believe is good to raise kids. The areas are close enough to Los Angeles, but serene and laid-back enough to start a family.
The duo were only married this year but have expressed their desire to start a family early on. Back in September, Benji said that it's what he believes marriage is about. "[Having kids is] what every man wants, whether they admit it or not," he said in an interview, according to Glamour.
Interestingly, Cameron once said on Esquire that she has no plans of becoming a mother. But that may have already changed, as a source revealed to E Online that she told Benji during the time they were dating that she wants a baby. Benji offered her marriage as a result. "Well, marry me.' He's old-fashioned...Marriage was important to him," the source told E.
Cameron's last movie ran in theaters in the early part of 2014. Despite the announcement that the sequel to "Bad Teacher" has been set, she hasn't been working on any film since her last project.
