"Sense8" Season 2 cancellation news are currently making rounds online, as the fate of the Netflix sci-fi drama is still on the air. Rumors about the show's possible cancellation began because of production issues.

There have been several "Sense8" Season 2 cast shakeups, which further sparked rumors about the show's cancellation. Aside from this, it is a known fact that the show is pretty expensive to produce on TV because filming takes place in different countries across the world.

The good news, however, is that "Sense8" Season 2 release date will be this December and fans will be treated with a Christmas special. In a recent tweet from Brian J. Smith, the actor revealed that the show will premiere this late December.

"Sense8" Season 2 spoilers from Digital Spy also reveal that the show recently tapped Sylvester McCoy to play a recurring role in the show. McCoy will reportedly play the role of "The Old Man of Hoy."

Fans may be reassured, however, by McCoy's statement about his character in "Sense8" Season 2. If anything, his words could be taken as a hint that there are more seasons following the second one.

"And they've signed me up for the year after and the year after... if they want," he said.
