Kim Kardashian still has not released any statement regarding being held at gunpoint and robbed of millions worth of jewelry while at her hotel in Paris during the Paris Fashion Week but reports said that she is suing over the claims that she faked the ordeal. Her sister, Khloe Kardashian, and her mother, Kris Jenner, have released statements about the mother-of-two and how she has been doing.
Kim, the reality star in the show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," reportedly filed the lawsuit against MediaTakeout and its founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga. She is said to be seeking unspecified damages for defamation.
According to the reports earlier, the reality star was tied up, gagged, placed on the bath tub of the bathroom of her hotel room and a gun was pointed at her. Two men were said to have made the crime but according to police officials three more men were with them, BBC reported.
In the lawsuit, which was filed in a federal court in New York, claims that Kardashian, after being a victim of a horrific and traumatic armed robbery in France, she returned to the United States to seek comfort but was again victimized due to the article published by the publication. The lawsuit adds that the online gossip tabloid referred to Kim as a liar and a thief.
The article against Kim also reportedly claimed that she faked the robbery, lied about the violent assault, and filed a fraudulent claim with her insurance company in order to get millions of dollars. The articles about Kardashian has no factual support, claims the lawsuit. Mwangaguhunga is said to have refused to publish a retraction and an apology. MediaTakeout has not commented as well.
As for how Kim is doing now, her sister, Khloe, appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and said that the wife of Kanye West is not doing so well. Khloe said that what happened to her sister was incredibly traumatic and their family is very close so they hope to get through it together, E! News reported.
Jenner, on the other hand, did not specifically talk about Kim but she posted on Instagram about how thankful she is for her family.
