Amazon Echo Review: The Newest Portable Speaker, Price And Device Features Inside

A new high-tech gadget has been released in the market as of today, it's called the Amazon Echo. Manufactured by the Amazon company as it is a part of the first attempt of Amazon to extend their devices since the release of Amazon Kindle E-Reader.

The Home BT was able to get the actual device and made a review about the Amazon Echo. The device is powered by Alexa, a software that is capable of voice recognition and voice interaction which is also capable of playing music, setting alarms and to-do lists.

Wi-Fi connection is an essential for the Amazon Echo to work. Internet connection is needed is it can provide you almost all the information you need. Traffic, weather report, news and update, all these are just a few information that the device can give you. Wikipedia is also a common thing to Amazon Echo that it can also access. Shopping and ordering your favorite burger or pizza can also be done for you by the amazing device.

Being a speaker, Amazon Echo can play music from the Amazon Music account. If no Amazon Music account, users can enjoy mp3 playlist from other supported music streaming services like Pandora and Spotify. Amazon Echo can also play music from Apple and Google using a tablet or smarphones.

With the Alexa Software, the device is also capable of voice-command. Using its 7 built-in microphones, Amazon Echo can recognize the recorded voice wherever you are in the room even with a simple noise around.

The Recumbo made a report as they unbox the Amazon Echo. They said in the report that the device is kind of weighty and has a black metal finish. In the basic box, aside from the device itself, a 21 watts power adaptor is included for charging.

The Amazon Echo is not just a simple speaker nor your ordinary mp3 player with a built-in speaker. It is labeled as an all day assistant due to its capabilities and skills. The device can be bought for $179.99 and has a smaller version which is sold for $50.
