"Modern Family" fans will get a taste of "Castle" Star Nathan Fillion as he guests on Wednesday, October 12, on the show's episode "Weathering Heights". He will be playing the role of Rainer Shine, who is Phil Dunphy's, played by Ty Burrell, "weatherman" hero, according to ABC.
In "Modern Family" Season 8 Episode 4 "Weathering Heights", Phil will get to know his hero Rainer Shine when he was invited to guest in a real-estate segment of the local news. However, when Phil introduced the smooth-talking weatherman to his eldest daughter Hayley, who is played by Sarah Hayland, he realizes that might have been a mistake on his part.
"Modern Family" viewers and fans of Fillion can look forward to having more of him in the TV mockumentary as, according to TVLine, this episode is only the first in the 3-episode storyline that Fillion will be part of. Fans of the Canadian actor will be sure to see all three episodes and watch out for all his lines and scenes.
Fillion's guesting on "Modern Family" will be the first time viewers will get to see the actor again on a television show after the end of the drama comedy show Castle last May where he leads. The "Modern Family" guest star is also known for a variety of television shows and movies including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Miss Match, Con Man, Serenity and Guardians of the Galaxy.
"Modern Family" is a television sitcom that follows the life of Jay Pritchett, his children, and their modern-day families.
