Apple has recently launched the iPhone 7, and while people were lining up to get the new smartphone, many are already thinking about the next generation of the iPhone line, the iPhone 8. There numerous rumors on the possible specs and design of the upcoming phone, and all of them are pretty intriguing.
According to BGR, the iPhone 8 will have the design that many have always wanted, where the entire smartphone is covered with the display screen, while the home button could be placed under the the phone. There are already patents that prove that the technology for the full display screen is already under development, BGR added.
In terms of features for the upcoming iPhone 8, Macworld states that it could come with the smart connector, just like the one found in Apple's iPad Pro. Wireless charging could also be included, and will definitely be a welcomed feature.
The screen might also be an OLED one, as rumors suggest, and the display will be edge to edge and the iPhone 8 will no longer have top or bottom bezels, and will entirely be touchscreen. The new iPhone's camera will also be getting a major upgrade, as it is the most commonly used camera in the world today. The camera will have a light splitter, which is usually found in high-end cameras, will be incorporated into the iPhone 8.
The iPhone 8 will supposedly unveiled in 2018, if Apple sticks to its usual timeframe of releasing new iPhones. The iPhone 7 S will be revealed some time in the later parts of 2017, and the iPhone 8 will follow in the year after.
