Kanye West is proving himself to be one dedicated and loving father. Although the multi-awarded rapper works almost around the clock in Europe, Kim Kardashian's husband never lost track of his priorities - that is, ensuring that his daughter, North West, gets the attention she deserves from her busy dad.
"While (Nori's) here in Europe I have to have six hours a day with her because otherwise I'll just work and she'll get scheduled around meetings," Kanye says (via Daily Mail) in an interview for the August issue of Q Magazine. He adds, "Instead, the meetings get scheduled around her."
Kanye is scheduled to headline the iconic Glastonbury Festival in England this weekend. Needless to say, his schedule is swamped with various concerns regarding the event but the soon-to-be-dad keeps his eye on the prize and makes sure that his 2-year-old daughter never feels neglected.
Meanwhile, Kanye also spoke out against the money-driven culture of the celebrities and artists of today in his interview with Q Magazine. He says, via Irish Examiner, "I just think there's a lot of celebrities that are completely controlled by their finances." The "Only One" singer then adds, "You could literally tap them on the wrist and say they lost five dollars and they'll fall to the floor and beg for at least four of the dollars back."
In connection with this alleged culture, Kanye points out that seeking the assistance of celebrities to bolster the stance for certain causes is a futile effort. He says that anyone doing so is "talking to the wrong group of people," adding that celebrities "won't use their voice for the people." Instead, these popular personalities ill only start to take part and "use their voice for money."
With these accusations, a bit of worry and anxiousness in terms of social alienation might be a cause of concern. Kanye, however, makes it unmistakably clear that he could not care less about the repurcussions of his words.
"Print it as loud, as f***ing loud, as you want to. Print it," he says to Q Magazine, via Mirror UK, referring to his criticisms against money-hungry celebrities. He adds, "And I don't care what parties I don't get invited to afterwards. Ninety per cent of celebrities only use their voice for the purpose of making money for themselves."
Kanye also says he intends to address issues, including those of political nature, in a frank and blunt manner, citing his belief that "the world is broken" as the reason for his aggressive stance. He explains, "Somebody's got to be crazy enough to put themselves and their wellbeing on the line for truth. Somebody's gotta do it."
