Jim Carrey Lawsuit Latest Updates: Mother of Jim Carrey's Ex Finally To Win?

Jim Carrey's ex, Cathriona White, committed suicide just last September 2015, and her mother has filed a lawsuit against the actor for wrongful death. Brigid Sweetman, White's mother, has accused Carrey of infecting her daughter with three Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), dumped her which triggered her suicide, and also providing her with prescription drugs which she had used to ultimately take her own life.

This is the second lawsuit Carrey is facing in relation to the death of his ex-girlfriend, with the first one filed by White's estranged husband Mark Burton. Burton had accused Carrey of capitalizing on his celebrity status and massive wealth to illegally acquire prescription drugs which she used to end her own life despite the actor knowing how she is prone to depression and that she had attempted to take her own life before.

White, a makeup artist by profession, was found dead in her apartment at Los Angeles due to an overdose of various drugs. Both had an on-off relationship over the past three years first linked in 2012.

Jim Carrey's lawyer, Marty Singer, reports that the allegations are bogus and categorically disputed, and as per The Independent, Singer says that the mother is just looking for someone to blame, and that is natural. The lawyer who represents Ms. Sweetman and Mr, Burton, named Michael Avenatti, was accused of capitalizing on the death of White similar to Burton who had never even actually lived with White.

Singer had also mentioned that White only married Burton for the purpose of being able to stay in the US. He mentions this as a shameful greed and not the way a husband should remember his wife.

NY Daily News reports that White left a suicide note, and it was written that she is asking for an apology and told that she was just not for this world. In the note, she apologized to Jim Carrey for not being enough for him.
