The "CS:NY" series star Melina Kanakaredes has reportedly been cast in a recurring role for the first season of ABC's new series "Notorious." As an action drama "Notorious" revolves around the manipulation of the legal system and the media system of the country.
In this brand new series, the actress will be playing the role of Dana Hartman who was described by Deadline as a strong woman who has worked her way up in the broadcasting field and has fallen from that height. At the start of the series "Notorious", she is seen at the lowest part of her life in which fans will see how she grows as a character from that point.
She is also a mother to a year old daughter who is very rebellious. Despite her daughter's rebellious attitude, she still strives to protect her daughter from any harm that may happen in the process of surviving everyday life thoughout the series.
ABC says that the series "Notorious" involves a complicated relationship with the defense attorney Jake Gregorian, played by Daniel Sunjata and the TV producer named Julia George, who is played by Piper Perabo. Together, the series will them not just trying to control the justice system and the entire media but also each other.
Their roles in the series is reportedly based off of a real life relationship between a big time criminal defense lawyer Mark Geragos and a news producer Wendy Walker. Just like the real life story between the two, the series shows Jake and Julia attempting to persuade the media to change public perspective as well as the way justice is implemented.
Their actions have made the headlines through the biggest news program that was produced by Julia herself. "Notorious" airs every Thursday from 9:00 - 10:00pm. ET.
