'Narcos' Season 3 Spoiler Updates: Pablo Escobar Will Be Irreplaceable Despite The Rise of Cali Cartel

"Narcos" season 2 already made its premiere and fans were able to witness the end of one of the most notorious drug kingpins, Pablo Escobar. His downfall may have been the end of the series, but "Narcos" is still set to continue as the third season will highlight the rise of his successors.

Pablo Escobar's empire was revealed during the first and second season of Netflix's hit series, "Narcos." By the end of the second season, "Narcos" revealed that death of the notorious kingpin, Pablo Escobar. By the send of the series second season, it was hinted that the Cali Cartel, is bound to diminish as the CIA along with Jorge Salcedo will be taking them down.

"Narcos" season 3 is said to air by 2017 and fans are eager to know what could possibly happen to Cali Cartel. Several names were brought upon that can possibly unfold the storyline of "Narcos" season 3. To name a few, are Helmer "Pacho" and Roberto Rodriguez Orejuela.

Though it was established that Cali Cartel will be on the rise, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Pablo Escobar will remain irreplaceable. It was hinted that Gilberto could possibly replace Escobar, Eric Newman, the "Narcos" showrunner explained that he and the Cali Cartel will just be part of Pablo Escobar's system.

"Unlike Escobar, who had positioned himself as an outlaw, Cali was very much a part of the system," he said about the new but different kind of villain. "While Escobar was a single-cell organism, they were a complex, multicelled organism."
