Perrie Edwards, the fiancée of former One Direction band member Zayn Malik, revealed that she and her beau are planning to have their first baby in three years' time, according to The Sun's Fabulous magazine.
"I would say 24 and that's in three years' time for me. It's still quite a while away," Perrie said when asked when she ideally wants to have her first child with Zayn. "My mam was 24, though, so that's always been my ideal age," the Little Mix singer added.
The couple has been spending much of their time together since Malik left the famous boy group, but while there have been some buzz about marriage, Perrie has always said that they will have a wedding whenever they are ready. That time hasn't come yet, but she did say that she cannot wait to start planning her wedding soon.
The 21-year-old singer's controversial relationship with Zayn, 22, has been blamed for breaking up One Direction. Her boyfriend reportedly decided to quit the band to patch things up with her amidst rumors that he was cheating during their band's world tour.
Perrie has been dubbed as "Yoko Ono" by some of the boy band's die-hard fans, as reported by Mirror, but her mother, Debbie, defends that she wasn't the reason Malik decided to leave One Direction. Earlier, there have been rumors that Zayn received offers to go solo and work with a different recording producer, according to Sugarscape.
But the truth of the matter, according to Perrie, is that she would have been fine wherever Zayn wants to be. "People have said did I do this, did I do that? No matter what decision he made, I was always going to support him. If he'd wanted to stay, I would have supported him just the same as I have done since he's left ... If he's happy then I'm happy," Perrie revealed in the same TV3 interview.
Thankfully, Perrie's mom isn't the least bit slighted by all these controversies dragging her daughter. She also throws her full support behind the couple. "Zayn's one of the nicest boys I've ever met and I couldn't imagine Perrie with anyone else. I feel like he's already my son, they've been together since she was on The X Factor so he's part of the family, " she told Mirror.
According to Franchise Herald, Debbie also believes that Perrie and Zayn's relationship is stronger than ever, and, in fact, she's keener on the couple's wedding plans than Perrie is.
