Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings are both working on upgrading their roster. According to reports, the two teams are in trade talks involving some of their key players. Reports have it that Goran Dragic might join Kings in the upcoming NBA season.
For those following the NBA news this offseason, you would probably agree that Miami Heat has an eventful summer. The team loses Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh all at once and now are on their way to rebuilding their team.
Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James were once Miami Heat's big three. The trio delivered a back-to-back championship to Heat in 2012 and 2013.
Per Heat Nation, Miami Heat is not taking this offseason lightly. The team has been engaged in trade talks this summer.
When the team allows NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade to join Chicago Bulls, the team is left with enough cap space to push a reasonable trade. According to the report, Heat could trade Goran Dragic to save cap space and pursue a superstar like Kevin Durant. Dragic could potentially land in Kings.
Zach Lowe of ESPN reported that Kings and Heat have been in vague trade talks since July. The potential deal does not necessarily involve Goran Dragic but reports have it that the easiest trade is to send Dragic to Sacramento Kings because they need a point guard.
A number of teams are finding solutions to their point guard issues. Goran Dragic is great at this position but NBA fans are not settled if Dragic will be with Heat for long, given Pat Riley's unpredictable nature.
Miami Heat president Pat Riley just announced that Chris Bosh's career with the team is likely over. Heat also surprised many when they let Dwyane Wade walked out the door.
Everyone, including LeBron James thought that Wade's NBA career will end with Heat but chances are slim that Wade will return to Miami since they had a bad breakup. Thus, finding Heat trading Goran Dragic will not be a surprise.
