Prince Harry is eagerly waiting to meet his nephew/niece.
During an interview with People magazine, the 28-year-old, who was serving in Afghanistan since September 2012 and is now coming back home, opened up about the royal pregnancy. The interview was taken a few days after Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton confirmed pregnancy, but was not released immediately due to security reasons.
"Obviously I'm thrilled for both of them," Harry told People magazine, while adding, "It's about time."
The royal couple William and Middleton confirmed expecting their first child in December, when Middleton was admitted to hospital for experiencing a severe form of morning sickness known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
"I spoke to my brother and her, and they're both very well and both very happy obviously," he added to the magazine. "I think it's very unfair that they were forced to publicize it when they were, but that's just the media for you."
Prince Harry also urged the media to give his brother and sis-in-law some privacy so that they can enjoy the most amazing moments in their life.
"I literally am very, very happy for them," he told the magazine, "but I just only hope that she and him - but mainly Catherine - hopefully that she gets the necessary protection to allow her as a mother-to-be to enjoy the privacy that that comes with. I seriously hope that's going to be able to happen."
Talking about his future plans and ideas about having a family, Harry prefers to leave everything to destiny.
"I don't think you can ever be urged to settle down," he said. "If you find the right person and everything feels right, then it takes time, especially for myself and my brother."
