'Jane The Virgin' Actor Justin Baldoni & Wife Emily Welcome First Baby -- Get The Name!

Much like his character on "Jane The Virgin," actor Justin Baldoni is finally a dad! His wife, Emily, has given birth to a beautiful baby girl last Saturday, June 27. They're calling her Maiya Grace.

"The birth of our little Maiya was the most beautiful and spiritual experience we have ever had," the couple said in a statement published in Us Weekly. "Having her at home in our bed and being able to sing and pray as she entered this world while holding her in the quiet of our home is something we will cherish forever. Our hearts are exploding with love... 'In the world of existence there is no more powerful magnet than the magnet of love. - 'Abdu'l-Bahá,'" the full statement read.

Hours after the official announcement, Justin posted a photo of his family in his Instagram, revealing more details about the baby's birth: "Saturday, June 27th at 11:29am our lives changed forever. Born at home, in our bed...she weighed 7lbs, 15 oz, was 21 inches long of absolute perfection (and a full head of hair). Welcome to the world Maiya Grace Baldoni... I know with all my heart that you are going it change it."

Back in February, Justin and Emily excitedly announced that they were on the family way in a video that went viral online. It was specially produced by Justin for friends and family, as well as the cast of "Jane the Virgin," according to New York Daily News. Seeing the reaction of the people closest to the couple made the baby announcement even more memorable and heartfelt. At one point, Justin made his mother-in-law cry when he revealed to her that she was going to become a grandmother.

Before they were married in 2013, Justin also produced a 27-minute video of what went on with his proposal to Emily. It has earned over 10 million views on Youtube.

His penchant for surprises is something his wife has always loved about him. Before giving birth, Justin treated Emily to a trip to Israel and Rome last April. "I'm a Baha'i, and so is Emily, and we wanted to be pregnant in the Holy Land there and just absorb the beautiful energy and the prayers and get a chance to experience that," the actor said via Us Weekly.

He also loved showering his wife with gifts, and, in fact, had to contain himself from splurging while she was pregnant. He had been so eager to buy her pregnancy clothes, but worried that he might be shopping for the wrong things. Ever the sensitive and caring one, he revealed to People Magazine back in March, "I tread cautiously. I always make sure that I can be supportive in every way that I can."
