Rose McGowan [SHOCKING CONFESSION]: Former ‘Charmed’ Star A Rape Victim? Confesses Sexual Assault Ordeal From A Top Hollywood Executive Through #WhyWomenDontReport

Amid the controversial "Pussygate" scandal of 2016 U.S. Presidential nominee Donald Trump, which highlighted Trump's unrelenting misogyny, actress Rose McGowan became the latest celebrity to reveal her past sexual assault experience. Through the hashtag #WhyWomenDontReport, McGowan confessed she was raped by a top Hollywood executive.

A few days after actress Amber Tamblyn detailed her personal tale in connection to violence against, 43-year-old "Charmed" alum Rose McGowan shocked the online world on Thursday night after she tweeted about her past sexual assault experience in the hands of an unidentified studio executive. According to The Inquirer Daily News, McGowan used the hashtag #WhyWomenDontReport to explain why she did not report the incident to the police, saying a criminal lawyer told her that she would never win the case.

McGowan, who supported Amber Tamblyn's sexual assault confession earlier this week, added her rape experience was an "open secret in Hollywood." But instead of support, the actress admitted people shamed her while her rapist was worshiped, E! News noted.

McGowan's recent social media confession about the mistreatment she experienced during her career wasn't the first time she actually hinted about it. Based on a 2015 Buzzfeed report, she was fired from her agency after she spoke her mind about the misogyny and sexism that plagued the Hollywood industry.

At the time, McGowan received support from fellow celebrities Jessica Chastain, producer Ellison and "Charmed" co-star Holly Marie Combs. In addition to the mistreatment she experienced, she also candidly opened up about the difficulties she faced while filming "Grindhouse" with her former lover, Robert Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, Rose McGowan's social media confession came after the controversy regarding the "allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior of 2016 U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump, Daily Mirror reported. Us Weekly added McGowan was not the only one who have spoken out against Trump as numerous women accused the Republican nominee of touching them inappropriately.
