'Ant-Man' Release Date & News: Evangeline Lilly Surprises! Announces Pregnancy With Second Child

Evangeline Lilly, 35, will be a mom for the second time. Her surprise announcement about her upcoming bundle of joy happened during the "Ant-Man" premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Monday. The expectant mom highlighted her baby bump that no one noticed before by wearing a monochrome Halston Heritage gown on the red carpet. The vintage-inspired, one-shoulder gown draped over her baby bump while she held her hand on her tummy, Mail Online reports.

People notes that the actress was so good at keeping her pregnancy a secret prior to her announcement, a skill she could have learned after starring in the cult hit series, "Lost." According to Mail Online, Evangeline's fans will be surprised for sure as the actress was last photographed in December 2014 during the premiere of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" without any trace of a baby bump.

Lilly's second child with partner Norman Kali, a production assistant she met on the set of "Lost," gives the actress joy and excitement. Kali and Lilly already have a four-year-old son named Kahekili, but Evangeline's pregnancy is a new experience for them.

The Canadian actress and author shared that she was only in her 30s when she had Kahekili, and now she is 35 and much more tired.

"The last time I was off work, I had no children, I had a partner who was busy working 18 hours a day, so I had all day to meditate and love on my baby and just be pregnant," she said to People.

"This time, I have a 4 year old I'm running around after, I'm working full time and I have a stay-at-home daddy so he's always around ... I just haven't had the same kind of time to give this my attention," she continues.

The "Lost" and "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" star loves many kids. In a report from Ocean Drive, she admitted that she was initially planning to have six children.

She revealed, "I frickin' love being pregnant. I'm one of the lucky women who just had a blissful pregnancy, but I wanted to adopt four. My partner and I have really been through the ringer in the adoption world and it's hard, so we'll see what happens. Life is magically beautiful, and it brings you what is perfect."

Lilly is already seven months pregnant, but the couple is still not aware of the sex of their baby and will hold off choosing a name until the birth. It might end up the same with her first pregnancy. "We are the laziest parents ever ... This one, we're hoping the same might happen because we still don't have any names for this child," she admitted.
