'Fifty Shades Darker' Movie & Trailer: 'Batman v Superman' Star Henry Cavill Joining Cast? Role Revealed! [Rumors]

"Batman v Superman" star Henry Cavill is rumored to be joining the cast of "Fifty Shades Darker," the sequel to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise.

As the second movie to the E.L. James' blockbuster is already set for a 2017 theater run, speculations as to who should be playing Christian Grey's nemesis, Jack Hyde, have started swirling. The character is Anastasia Steele's boss in the story, and, like Grey, Jack also came from the same foster home that Christian grew up in. Jack resented the fact that Christian was lucky to be adopted by a rich family, and, in their adult years, he becomes the main antagonist to the follow-up story.

The rumors about Henry Cavill's inclusion in the sequel cropped up in a report of Tony Sokol for KpopStarz. However, no confirmation from the producers, the studio or the actor has ever been released. His IMDb profile also indicates no listing of the sequel in his upcoming work, which so far includes "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." for 2015, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" for 2016 and "The Justice League" Part One and Part Two for 2017 and 2019.

The star of "Man of Steel" is also rumored to become the next James Bond, according to Inquistr. Cavill once said that he auditioned for the role back in 2005 but was turned down because he was still quite young. With all these commitments for the next four years, will Cavill be able to squeeze in a role for "Fifty Shades"?

Meanwhile, production of the movie has yet to pick up. Back in February, "Fifty Shades Darker" met some production delays as it was reported by Variety that the book author would like to write the screenplay herself after the original scribe, Kelly Marcel, was dropped from the project. Eventually, however, it was confirmed that James' husband, Niall Leonard, will be taking over the script.

It was also reported that Jamie Dornan, who plays Grey, was offered a pay raise and a bonus of US$1.5 million if he agreed to a full frontal nude scene in the next movie. But according to Latino Post, this was turned down.

"Fifty Shades" costume designer, Mark Bridges, seemed to have no knowledge of the full frontal scenes. "I don't need it all spelled out for me, things left to the imagination are better. But the people who are involved in the later films must know something I don't know," he said in Daily Star Online.
