It is no surprise that "The K2" got positive reviews from its mass audiences in local and international. To reciprocate the warm welcome of viewers, Ji Chang-wook sends his gratitude to all who acknowledge his craft, ethics and hard work to deliver his role in "The K2."
In a report by Soompi, Ji Chang-wook recently conducted a short interview with some reporters coming from different media outlets after his fan meeting. When asked how he feels about all the good feedback he has been receiving from viewers, especially his highly regarded action scenes, he humbly answered: "While I didn't select this production because I expected to be lauded, I want to thank everyone for their praise and I will continue to work hard so I can keep on hearing praise."
He also shared that aside from the actual scenes, he is enjoying the drama granted that he has a lot of fun behind the scenes in the company of his costars. Moreover, he assured that the actors were given advanced filming, so there's nothing to worry about.
"The K2" premiered in tvN network on Sept. 23. It is written by Jang Hyeok-rin and directed by Kwak Jung-hwan. The drama runs every Fridays and Saturdays until Nov. 12. "The K2" would then be followed by upcoming fantasy drama "Goblin," to be led by "Train to Busan" actor Gong Yoo in December.
The story centers on the journey of a former soldier Kim Je-ha (Ji Chang-wook) under the pseudonym K2. He is hired as a bodyguard by powerful people in the political arena, and is fated to cross paths with the presidential candidate's secret daughter Ko An-na (Yoona).
