"Madam Secretary" Season 3 Episode 2 revolved around the complications within the United States government and Algeria. Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) had to pick up the duties of U.S. Ambassador to Algeria, Roy Curtis (Dakin Matthews), following his death. She also had to deal with her children's safety who are apparently in danger.
Everything is not going well with Elizabeth in the recent episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 3 as she needed to protect her family and the country from Algeria's threat at the same time. President Haddad of Algeria apparently blames the U.S. government for Curtis' death who happened to be his friend.
"Madam Secretary" Season 3 Episode 2 saw Haddad who was convinced to start a war with the U.S. However, Elizabeth bravely stepped in and employed the help of the Algerian military chief to stop the war. Elizabeth told the Algerian military chief that the U.S. is preparing an attack to Algeria but if he will agree to send Haddad to be tried for the international criminal court, then people of Algeria will be saved.
Fortunately, Elizabeth's negotiation skills worked well and no war was initiated on the second episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 3. However, Algeria is not the only concern of Elizabeth on this episode of "Madam Secretary." A group of armed men attacked Jason's school and left a note in his locker that states, "We can get to your family anytime."
Henry (Tim Daly) told Elizabeth that Jason's school security cameras were hacked and it seems that Elizabeth's enemies are after their kids on "Madam Secretary" Season 3. The couple then decided to finally tell their children that their family is facing a security threat which they cannot identify yet.
"Madam Secretary" Season 3 Episode 3 is expected to see Henry and Elizabeth discuss the problem to their kids while the FBI searches for the hacker.
